Battle at Procyon[]
Mission 11[]
RLS Victory initially was docked at Cydonia Shipyard when Jim Hawkins towed the Dreadnought, Devastator to Cydonia Shipyard using RLS St. Roch. When Hawkins arrived and explained to Admiral Hoyt that the Ironclads are a Procyon false flag operation designed to draw the majority of the Royal Navy to the frontier so that the Procyons can easily reach the Royal Parliament and assassinate the Queen. Admiral Hoyt, realising that Hawkins is going to need more firepower, assigns the RLS Victory, the most powerful ship in Cydonia Shipyard, to Hawkins to use as his command ship. Jim Hawkins then sets off for Parliament to warn the Queen, which is in orbit around Corona V, however on the way there the RLS Victory is ambushed by Pirates, led by John Silver, stating his intention is to prevent Hawkins from warning the Queen. Hawkins orders his fleet to attack the Pirates, except for Silver's flagship, Argentum which he ordered to be left for himself to handle. After the Pirate fleet was destroyed, Argentum retreated, Hawkins ordered his crew to pursue the Argentum, despite Mr. Onyx's reminding Hawkins that the Parliament had to be warned, Hawkins justified his orders by stating that if he can get answers from Silver they might be able to prevent another Terran-Procyon War. During the pursuit, the RLS Victory comes under attack by 5 Pirate Sloops, but destroys all of the Sloops easily, another wave of Pirates attack shortly afterwards, consisting of 2 Sloops and 1 Schooner. After destroying the Pirates, Mr Oynx notices Argentum firing at the SS Harvester a Civilian Galleon which Silver drove into a Black Hole to distract Hawkins, Jim Hawkins then orders his crew to tow the SS Harvester out of the Black Hole. After the SS Harvester was towed out of the Black Hole, the RLS Victory continued its pursuit of the Argentum, clearing out a minefield along the way. After clearing out the minefield, more Pirate ships attack the RLS Victory, Mr Onyx notices these ships are modified Procyon Gunboats, flying Pirate colours. The RLS Victory is then fired upon by asteroids, which the Pirates have placed guns on. After the RLS Victory clears a path through the fortified asteroids and finally catches up with Silver, Mr Onyx notices that there are two Argentums and two John Silvers. Both Silvers tell Hawkins that the other is a robot and that the have been held captive there for months, Mr Onyx notices that they are running out of time, and advises Hawkins to quickly resolve this issue. Jim Hawkins then guesses which ship has the real Silver on it, and orders his crew to fire the RLS Victory's guns at the impostor's ship, revealing the impostor Silver to be a robot. John Silver then informs the Pirates that the other Silver was an impostor and orders them to follow Hawkins and assist the Royal Navy temporarily. The RLS Victory and the accompanying Imperial and Pirate fleet then set a course for Parliament.
Mission 12[]
When the RLS Victory arrived along with its accompanying fleet and Silvers Pirate fleet at Parliament, the Procyons, led by Admiral Evar had already arrived, Admiral Amelia and her fleet were already present at Parliament at the time. On the way to the Parliament the RLS Victory engaged in combat with the Procyon fleet, initially fighting several Procyon Cutters and the Cruisers, Revenge and PSR Retaliation, then fighting the Ice Fist, PSR Stalker. John Silver then noticed Evar going towards Parliament to attack it, Silver then stated he and Amelia would hold off the Ironclads so that Hawkins' fleet could reinforce Parliament. When the RLS Victory reached the Parliament to assist fighting against the large Procyon fleet, consisting of Cutters, Cruisers and two Ice Fists, the PSR Diplomacy and the PSR Conquest bombarding it, Mr Onyx noticed torpedoes seemingly coming from nowhere, and then noticed Submersibles uncloaking, wondering how they could fight a ship that they cannot see. Hawkins realised that Grav Charges could pull the Etherium off the Submersibles and reveal them. Mr Onyx also noticed Procyon ships attempting to dock at the Parliament to offload Marines to assault the Palace and attempt to capture the Queen. Hawkins ordered his fleet to target the ships trying to offload Marines into the Parliament. The RLS Victory and the accompanying fleet continued to fight the Procyon fleet, until two Ironclads came to the Parliament to assist the Procyons, the Cruiser, Hunter and the Procyon flagship, the Dreadnought, Wailing Wind, commandeered by Admiral Evar himself. These Ironclads had recently sunk most of Silver's and Amelia's fleets, including Amelia's command ship, the RLS Lyonesse. By this point most of the Procyon fleet had sunk, Jim Hawkins then ordered Evar and the remaining Procyons to surrender, stating that they would be treated fairly, Evar refused, and instead launched a suicidal last-ditch ramming attack in an attempt to kill Jim Hawkins. By this point the RLS Victory was heavily damaged, with most of its weapons destroyed and its sails and engines damaged, Hawkins ordered the crew to move at full speed, but Mr Onyx noticed that they could not get out of the way in time before the Wailing Wind rammed them, however before the Wailing Wind could ram the RLS Victory, John Silver rammed into the Wailing Wind with the heavily damaged Argentum, presumably hitting the Wailing Wind's ammunition reserve or fuel tank, as this caused the Wailing Wind to explode, destroyed both the Wailing Wind and Argentum in the process with the explosion propelling the RLS Victory away.
Trivia[]
- The RLS Victory is named after the HMS Victory, a first-rate, Ship of the line used by Admiral Nelson as his command ship during the Napoleonic Wars.
- During the ending cutscene, the RLS Victory will always be heavily damaged, with most of its guns destroyed along with its sails and engines being damaged, regardless of the RLS Victory's condition at the end of the Mission.
