RLS Lyonesse is a modified Heavy Escort used by Admiral Amelia as her command ship.
Battle at Procyon[]
Mission 1[]
RLS Lyonesse was used by Admiral Amelia to oversee the training of Royal Naval Officers, including Jim Hawkins undergoing their final exams. The first exercise the RLS Lyonesse oversaw was firing blanks at the Fast Frigates of the 32nd Strike Flotilla for two minutes. After the blank firing exercise was completed, RLS Lyonesse and the officers-in-training moved to Clarke's Nebula. When they arrived at Clarke's Nebula, Admiral Amelia assigned half the ships red flags (including the RLS Lyonesse and RLS Comet) and the other half blue flags and instructed ships with red flags to go around the western side of the nebula and blue flag ships to go around the eastern side. When the ships reached the other side of the nebula they engaged in a mock battle, when ships were 'destroyed' they would display a black flag to indicate this. After the mock battle, the 32nd Strike Flotilla returned to Crescentia and RLS Lyonesse led the training fleet to the Tender, RLS Bounty to acquire live ammunition for their weapons, which was required the next exercise. Admiral Amelia then ordered the training fleet to fire at asteroids to show the officers-in-training the power of their weapons, however before the exercise could be completed Amelia received a message stating that the Tender, RLS Providence was being stolen by the Pirate Schooner, Warrior, and that the training group was the only group close enough to stop the Pirates. RLS Lyonesse searched for the Pirates, but by the time it arrived the RLS Comet had already sunk the Warrior, because of this, Admiral Amelia promoted Ensign Hawkins to Lieutenant.
Mission 2[]
RLS Lyonesse was present at the start of Mission 2, where Admiral Amelia gave Lieutenant Hawkins his orders for his first real mission and then left.
Mission 7[]
When Jim Hawkins' Fast Frigate, RLS Lightning was outnumbered trying to defend Dorlinor from the Pirates. RLS Lyonesse, along with an accompanying fleet, consisting of the Frigate, RLS Crusader, the Cutter, RLS Star Finder and the two Torpedo Boats, RLS Rascal and RLS Siren, turned up to assist in the defence of Dorlinor from the Pirates. After defeating the Pirates, Hawkins reported to Admiral Amelia that the Pirates were using Medium and Heavy Lancers, that only the Procyons were able to develop, theorising that the Pirates were stealing weapons from the Procyons, Amelia speculated that the Procyons were selling the weapons to the Pirates. When Hawkins reported his encounter of the Procyon Diplomatic Fleet to Admiral Amelia, she accused the Procyons of destroying their previous escort. Amelia explains that the Procyon Ambassador, Evar was an Admiral in the Procyon Navy during the Terran-Procyon War that she had personally fought against, and that Evar should not be trusted. Admiral Amelia then sent Hawkins back into the Calyan Abyss to search for the mysterious vessel spotted yesterday.
Mission 8[]
RLS Lyonesse is docked at Dorlinor at the start of the mission, it does not move from this position for the duration of the mission.
Mission 12[]
RLS Lyonesse was already present at Parliament when Commodore Hawkins and John Silver arrived to reinforce it, however the Procyons, led by Admiral Evar had already arrived by this point and the Battle at Parliament started. RLS Lyonesse and its accompanying fleet engaged in combat with several Cutters, Cruisers and the Ice Fist, PSR Stalker. However when Silver noticed Evar going towards Parliament to attack it, Hawkins' ship RLS Victory and his fleet moved to Parliament to defend it, whilst RLS Lyonesse and Argentum and their fleets held off the Ironclads. Whilst fighting Admiral Evar's Dreadnought, Wailing Wind and his Ironclad fleet, most of Silver and Amelia's fleet was sunk, including the RLS Lyonesse, although Admiral Amelia managed to escape on a lifeboat.

- Although RLS Lyonesse uses a Heavy Escort model, it is a unique ship with its own weapon layout.
- If enabled in Skirmishes, one can see that Amelia's Heavy Escort lacks animations for losing sections of its hull.
