Battle Strategy[]

As the Procyon Sloop has two forward facing point-defence Lancers, and is extremely cheap, it is one of the best minesweepers in the game. Other than that, this ship has many advantages. When using its default loadout, it's light lancers are great at destroying sails, and tearing apart other small ships. Combined with the Cannon, it is actually quite a lot of damage. When turning away, you don't get to broadside them, but you can fully turn round for another Medium Cannon at the back. This ship tends to be quite durable, due to having a lot of HP. It tends to have its sections easily blown off, but it has a lot of them. Some alternative loadouts can include an Energy Net at the back or front, which can be useful for supporting larger ships, although not amazing in combination with the Lancer. You can equip Harpoons to enable boarding of other small ships, since this ship has a high crew count. Replacing the Light Lancers with Cannons can increase you damage to enemy hulls at longer ranges. You can also replace the Cannons with Medium Lancers if you want to just go around shredding small ships, and removing sails, which is very effective.

Counter-Tactics[]

Lancers are effective as this ship is normally very hard to hit. It is probably best to avoid shooting its pontoons, as although they are fragile, this ship can be destroyed extremely quickly when shooting its main centre section as it has a 90% damage transfer rate. If you can ensure you hit this part reliably, then it will die very quickly. Always try to circle around it to avoid its forward facing weapons.
