Like all Man-o-Wars, these ships are hard to turn though the Procyons have still managed to make this ship seem graceful. They are extremely heavily armed with an impressive array of weapons, and a large complement of warriors for boarding ships. As is typical of Procyon Designs, the Man-O-War has a frighteningly devastating frontal attack capability that should alarm any captain. Combing heavy mounts, and Torpedo tubes, this vessel can cripple an enemy ship in one pass.


The Procyon Man of War is a large ship with enormous frontal firepower. The frontal volley of this ship is in fact the most powerful attack of any given side for any ship in the game. It is quite slow and hard to manoeuvre however, and has a weaker broadside than its Terran and Pirate equivalents.

Battle StrategyEdit

There are many options on what weapons to equip the Man of War with. Some good choices are to equip what appears to be the broadside heavy cannons as Plasma Cannons. Actually, the front two from that bank face forward, so having two extra long range Plasma Cannons facing forward can be very useful. Additionally, the bank for the Energy Net and Arcturian Fire also face forward. The Energy Net is very useful, but if you want more damage, then cannons or lancers can go there instead, the Arcturian Fire is quite good, but has an anti synergy with the net as one destroys sails, and the other relies on enemy sails to drain energy. A Lancer or Cannon in that slot also works though, or even a Harpoon if you want to be able to board. The Star Mortar is also useful if you want a Mortar, but if you don't then you can put a Lancer or Cannon there too. Overall though, the way you use this ship is by ensuring your bow is always pointed towards your enemy when your front facing weapons are off cooldown, as that is most your firepower. Since a lot of it is Torpedoes, make sure you fire them at enemies with less point-defence. If they do have point-defence, fire them from close range. If you want to shoot enemies from a distance, go ahead slow or stop, and keep your bow pointed at them.


Avoid being in front of it whenever possible. As with the Frigate, its pontoons are quite fragile compared to the rest of the ship, and if you want to cripple its firepower, then aim for them. However, they are non vital, so if you want to destroy the ship quickly, only aim for the centre. If possible, either use ships with lots of point-defence on the back, or equip a Grav Charge Launcher on the stern, so you can trap the Torpedoes as they come towards you.
