Light Carronades are a light weapon and the smallest variant of Carronade.
Overview[]
Compared to other light weapons, Light Carronades deal huge damage per second, and have a very high chance of causing strong fires. The drawback being the severe lack of range and velocity. Therefore, the best way to use them is quite predictably, getting very close and brawling, making use of the greater damage to overpower your enemies. Against faster ships, they combine well with harpoons, energy nets or grav charges to make sure they don't create distance. They are probably the most damaging direct fire weapon against hulls in the game.
