Heavy Carronades are a heavy weapon and the largest variant of Carronade.

Overview[]

The Heavy Carronade deals incredible burst damage, and is likely to cause potent fires. Also, its range disadvantage is not quite as severe as with the lighter versions, but it still has very low velocity. A full broadside of these from a large ship at close range usually deals enough damage cripple even other large ships. It still does have short range though, and you may find yourself in trouble if enemy vessels attempt to bombard you at a distance with longer ranged weapons.
