The Etherium is a layer of space that contains breathable air, life, and small island like bodies that seem to float among the stars. Below this layer is an airless void, some Spacers don suits to explore, or mine this void, though it's fairly certain no life dwells within. Sometimes, sections of the Etherium continuously flow quickly enough in a certain direction to form Currents, these Currents are often used by ships to quickly travel in the direction the Current is flowing in, making these Currents very useful for trade and for reinforcing the front-lines in a war.
